| Abstract | This paper presents a new control algorithm with direct current control technique using the instantaneous active current component id-iq method. The power circuit is a four-switch voltage source topology. Its main purpose is to compensate the three phase shunt active power filter harmonics. A PLL with a high performance is used when the main voltage is strongly unbalanced and contain harmonics. The active filter operates effectively in the presence of unbalanced and distorted ac mains. Moreover in order to separate the continuous component from the harmonic ones, a kalman filter is used. Simulation results using Power System Blockset Toolbox PSB of Matlab show the performance of the new control algorithm with reduced switches of the AF circuit and confirm the feasibility of the proposed filter. |
