Abstract

Wind speed has the property of intermittence and randomicity. The uncertainty of wind speed variation directly incurs the uncertainty of power generation of wind generators. It becomes a hard task to predict the power generation of wind generators accurately. How will the uncertainty of power generation of wind generators influence the steady state operation of power system is an issue need to be studied. In order to deal with uncertainty of wind speed and power generation of wind generators, interval models are built for them, and an uncertainty power flow analysis method based on interval arithmetic for wind farms is proposed in this paper. Taking one real wind farm in Qingdao power grid as test system, the results verify the proposed models and algorithm and prove that they are valuable and effective in the study of the influence of power generation uncertainty of wind generators on the steady state operation of power system in quantity.
