| Abstract | Underground cables are playing an important role in transferring power from medium voltage substations to the end customers. A typical low voltage distribution feeder consists of numerous branches as well as junctions and different types of conductors. Furthermore, various loads are available including one phase or three phase resistive, inductive or dynamic loads. Also because of the existence of the private customers as an end user, just one terminal is available for measuring input signals. The existence of the load taps, laterals and non-homogeneity of the lines are the most challenging attributes of low voltage underground distribution systems. In this paper these problems were addressed through development of an algorithm to cover all the mentioned needs based on the distributed parameters. The cable data is extracted from PSCAD/EMTDC routine. |
