| Abstract | This paper will outline remote short-circuit current determination in DC railway systems based on travelling wave theory and wavelet transform and analyzes the reason of the di/dt protection failure. The paper also studies the different models to simulate travelling wave behaviors of the system under fault conditions and the DC trains starting-up current. Through these models, new mathematic models will be made for protection research. By comparing the different travelling wave of these two currents , the new DC feeder protection can differential them especially the remote short-circuit. |
