Abstract

This paper presents a study for solving outage planning problem for electric facilities as a combinatorial optimization problem by using distributed GAs (DGAs). In order to maintain the diversity of solutions in which a few individuals with excellent fitness does not occupy a population, we intend to adequately adjust parameters related to the DGAs. We also carry out some simulations to confirm of the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results are acceptable and reasonable for the quality of solutions compared with the existing simple GAs.
