| Abstract | Load Balancing of 3 phase feeders and undesirable effects of load unbalancing in distribution systems operation has been considered as an important issue for distribution companies. Power loss increment, network voltage drooping, network safety reduction, customers voltage unbalancing, neutral point changing, zero and negative harmonic generation, and generally reduction of power quality are the results of unbalanced distribution systems. Besides, when the network voltage is unbalanced and the neutral point is changed, disconnecting of neutral wire is considered as an important factor. In this paper firstly, it is shown that how disconnecting neutral wire affects customers voltage when the load is unbalanced. Then by definition of 2 general cases of load unbalancing, its effects on load voltage are evaluated. Finally by the use of experimental reports, the status of four low voltage feeders in Tehran district in two conditions (before and after of disconnecting of the neutral wire) is examined. |
