Abstract

This paper deals with the simulation and analysis study results of the South-West Libyan electric power system. The main problem facing this system as was previously identified by our paper presented at the 34th International (UPEC2008). With more data collected for the new 400kV transmission line, main concerns here are the system voltage stability, performance, power quality improvement, failures and blackouts reduction This study includes both static steady state and transient dynamic computer simulation thermal capacity, overloading, voltage problems. NEPLAN software for simulation and analysis is used here.
