Abstract

During the last decades, the increasing concerns about the environment and the trends towards the diversification of the energy market have been reinforcing the interest in wind energy exploitation.Wind speed varies unpredictively therefore output power is not fixed. Therefore, a comprehensive control strategy is necessary for fixing the output power. Normally, PID controllers are used, but their coefficients are fixed and can be not adapted for different cases. An adaptive controller strategy is necessary for fixing the output power. In this paper a new control strategy is proposed. The method fallow the wind speed changes and fixing the output power in accordance with wind speed variations. The new method is based on predictive control strategy used for DFIG.
