| Abstract | In this study, problems in the lagging leg of the PSPWM converter are analyzed, and a new method enabling the use of high-valued capacitors at the lagging leg without any problems and improving the performance at high currents is developed. Thanks to this new method, the turn off switching losses are decreased and the performance of the converter is improved. The proposed converter is especially suitable for high performance welding machines. |
