| Abstract | The work researchers directional flow of reactive power at harmonic frequencies in a power system. An innovation is the introduction of the concepts sources and sins to demonstrate directions. A nodal diagram and a new formula are developed for analyzing harmonic source-sink relationships of reactive power ditectional flows.Harmonic penetration, resonance and anti-resonance conditions are investigated to evaluate nodal source-sink responses including the operation of a harmonic filter. Case studies are conducted using a software tool. Results are analyzed enhancing understanding of directional reactive power flow at harmonic frequencies. |
