| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to analyze the transient behaviour of a mixed overhead-cable line when it is affected by atmospheric fulmination and to describe the effects of overvoltages on the system. The events that will be taken into consideration are shielding failure, direct strokes on the phase conductor and the hypothesis of backflashover along insulators. The work consists in building an accurate model for the simulation of a mixed line in the presence of a fulmination and represents a starting point for further research insights. |
