| Abstract | It is the purpose of this paper to investigate the role of fuel cells in enhancement of power systems transient and dynamic stability based on the so far developments in this field. In order to better examine the above mentioned role, several dynamic modeling and simulations of fuel cells are considered. Moreover, various types of fuel cells are taken into account since the type of the fuel cell plays a crucial role in getting to an appropriate dynamic model as the internal chemical reactions change. The results of this paper demonstrate the importance of fuel cells and their accurate dynamic modeling and control in improving transient and dynamic stability of power systems. |
