Abstract

In order to study the problem of interconnect power grid, Hebei Electric Power Corporation has decided to establish power system digital simulation laboratory. Many kinds of power system analysis can carry on in laboratory such as current, transient stability and voltage stability. The electromechanical transient simulation for a large scale power grid and the detailed electromagnetic transient simulation for a specified part of power grid can be simultaneously realized during a single power system simulation process. Such a simulation method will possess great theoretical and practical significances in the detailed analysis of system characteristics, especially in the analysis on characteristics of HVDC power transmission and components of FACTS. The important equipment in laboratory is ADPSS. ADPSS (Advanced Digital Power System Simulator) is the simulator developed by China Electric Power Research Institute. The Advanced Digital Power System Simulator (ADPSS) can be applied in the electric power stability analysis and dynamic security assessment system. It can realize real time and faster-than-real-time simulation. It has realized electromagnetism transient simulation of complex AC and DC compounding power system (1000 suits of generators and 15000 items generatrix).
