| Abstract | Prony algorithm uses a linear combination of a group of exponential functions to fit a uniformly sampled data. It can directly calculate the amplitude, phase, damping factor and frequency of the modal components present in the studied signal. Whether Prony algorithm can be used for selecting single-phase earthed faulty feeder in non-effectively earthed network or not is analyzed and studied in the paper. First, Prony algorithm is programmed by Matlab to fit the given ideal signal. The fitted figure and parameters proved that Prony algorithm can accurately match the ideal signals. Later, a random noise signal is injected into the ideal signal and the fitted results are also very satisfactory. |
